The Hope Marietta Foundation raises money and awareness for congenital heart defects through community involvement, fundraising events, and service projects directly benefiting local children.
The Hope Marietta Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organized to raise awareness of congenital heart defects, the number one birth defect in the United States. Our charitable foundation was created in loving memory of Hope Marietta Armiger. In memory of Hope, let us remember what a precious gift life is, and let us work together to fight for those who may not be able to fight for themselves.

February 11, 2012 - Hope for Hearts Casino Night: Please join us for the Second Annual Hope for Hearts Casino Night at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. Everyone's favorite night of great drinks, food and casino action will begin at 8:00pm. See you all there!

November 12, 2011 - Hope Marietta Mini-Golf Classic: Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hope Marietta Classic at H-Street Country Club! We had a great turnout for the event and welcomed our 2nd winner to have his name engraved on the cup, Mark Corwin! The celebrations didn't end on the green, and the Hope Marietta Classic champion took the trophy out on the town. Congratulations to Mark and thank you to all of our supporters!

October 15, 2011 - Movie Under the Stars: Gnomio & Juliette: The Hope Marietta Foundation hosted many of our families for our first outdoor movie event at Lacey Woods Park in Arlington, Virginia. We had a great turnout for the event, and the families enjoyed crafts, pizza and snacks, and an evening showing of Romeo and Juliet. Thanks to all thsoe who came out to enjoy the event!

June 4, 2011 - United Social Sports & Hope Marietta Foundation 2nd Annual Skeeball Tournament: The second installment was even more successful than our first annual charity skeeball tournament! We had over 100 competitors and supporters join us at Continental Modern Pool Lounge for the 2nd Annual Hope Marietta Skeeball Tournament. We partnered with United Social Sports to host the 64-person tournament, with the $250 prize going to the tournament champion Nicole Hall. Fun was had by all at the tournament and then we brought the party over to Public Bar in D.C. for the post-party celebrations!

February 27, 2011 - Rock Out!: The Hope Marietta Foundation rocked out at the Inova Hospital's Every Kid's a Rock Star Gala at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. We hosted a Guitar Hero competition for the little Rock Stars, and provided a photo booth for exclusive photo shoots. We also teamed with Best Buy of Tysons Corner to provide a DJ Hero demonstration to test their scratching skills.

February 12, 2011 - Hope for Hearts Casino Night: Thank you to the over 250 guests who helped make this night so special. Thanks to your support, we were able to raise funds to benefit Children's National Medical Center. We look forward to seeing everyone out at next year's event!

December 20, 2010 - Holiday Event at Weyanoke Elementary School: Members of the Hope Marietta Foundation spent the day with the second graders at Weyanoke Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia. We taught them about the importance of charity and philanthropy in our community and helped them make 100 gift boxes for the children spending the Holidays in the hospital at Inova Hospotal. We had a blast with these guys and look forward to the event next year!

Dr. Lucas Collazo joins the Hope Mareitta Foundation as Medical Advisor: We would like to welcome Dr. Collazo on board as our newest Medical Advisor. Dr. Collazo is the Associate Director of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. He will work with the Hope Mareitta Foundation in the direction of our support for the medical field, and help us to develop and grow our relationship with Inova Hospital. Hope Marietta Classic: We hope to see everyone out at our first annual Hope Marietta Foundation Classic mini-golf tournament at H-Street Country Club in Washington, DC on November 13. Join us for food, cocktails and some mini-golf action as we raise money to benefit congenital heart defects. The winner of the tournament will receive the $100 prize and be the first champion of many to have their name engraved on the Hope Marietta Classic cup!

Friends of Hope Family Picnic: We were joined by our friends and supporters for a fall picnic at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia. The weather was perfect and our littlest fans had a blast with the crafts, great food, tie dye t-shirt station, and moon bounce! Our supporters were able to spend some time with the families and children we are fighting for and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with those families. See everyone next year!
Children's Hospital Fall Festival & Greater Washington Area CHD Walk: We were thrilled to be invited to the Children's Heart Institute Fall Festival at the National Zoo for a chance to meet some of the patients and families at Children's with congenital heart defects. Hearing their stories and meeting the children our Foundation is dedicated to is what keeps us going. Check back soon for more pictures of the great event and our new friends!
The Hope Marietta Foundation also participated in the Greater Washington Area CHD Walk benefiting the Adult Congenital Heart Foundation and the Children's Heart Foundation. One of nine walks nationwide, this great event raised over $30,000 for those two organizations. Thanks to all who participated!
Welcome Aboard Dr. Martin: Dr. Martin is the pediatric cardiologist who worked with Hope at Children’s National Medical Center and her complex congenital heart defects from the time of her birth until the time of her death. His sincere care and concern for Hope’s well-being gave her and her family great comfort during their trying times. Dr. Martin’s continued support of her family through his involvement in the Hope Marietta Foundation speaks volumes to Dr. Martin’s dedication to his patients and their families.
Dr. Martin's role as Medical Advisor for the Hope Marietta Foundation is to help guide the Foundation in their contributions and direction within the medical field.
